Routeburn track
This is a one of the "Great Walks" of New Zealand. We hiked in two "huts" and then retured to the car a distance that most trampers (hikers/campers) would take 4 days to compete.
Rob Roy glacier
We enjoyed a nice lunch at this vantage point and were treated to three huge ice falls to keep us entertained.
Mt Aspiring
One of the many dirt roads we braved to try to get off the beaten path. Enroute to Mt. Aspiring for a day hike.
Wanaka
This picture really captures the essence of the overhead power poles. Really, this was one of my favorites... far better than the famed Queenstown.
