Port Townsend to Friday Harbor, Washington

Friday Harbor, Washington on what seems to be a typical late summer evening. Grey and drizzly.
Fishing off the South West end of San Juan Island, San Juan Islands, Washington State, USA.
Dave rigging up a whole herring to fish for Coho Salmon. Lots of fishing, but no catching today.
Kathy enjoying a Pacific Northwest Summer from the deck of LightSpeed. Perhaps, our blood is still a little thin from so many years cruising in the hot and steamy tropics. I did however, don some shorts for our walk around Friday Harbor this evening.
An old fishing boat named David B sailed by us today so I felt obliged to take a picture.
Kathy after a swim in the chilly 49 degree water of the Staits of Juan de Fuca.
Kathy all smiles Before a swim in 49 degree water. That's 30 to 40 degrees cooler than the tropic water we are accustom to .
A motor sailor heading toward Point Wilson the entrance of Admiralty inlet with Port Townsend Washington in the background. Likely this boat is headed for the Wooden Boat Festival currently underway in Port Townsend, Washington.
Point Wilson Light House at the boundary of Admiralty inlet and the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
Leaving the busy harbor at Port Townsend for more tranquil water in the San Juan Islands and British Columbia.
