Fourth of July Storm

July 3, 2011 4:30PM update
Anchored in Somerville Inlet
Anchorage Position: 54°46.8178N 130°13.6443W

Looks like we are in for a rough 4th of July based on the below weather forecast. Sharing our anchorage with 31 salmon gillnet boats, so far, and there is a commercial salmon opener tomorrow in Portland Inlet so more may show up to wait out the overnight storm. Could get pretty ugly in the anchorage if the forecast holds and boats start dragging anchor.

"Gale warning in effect"
Wind south 15 to 20 knots increasing to 25 this evening and to southeast 25 to 35 late overnight. Wind increasing to southeast 35 to 45 late Monday morning
then diminishing to south 25 Monday evening. A few showers ending near midnight. Rain beginning early Monday morning. Visibility 1 mile or less in rain.
