New crew for the South Pacifc arrive.

Our new crew members Andrew and Kelsey arrived this week, so we move the boat down to Marina Vallarta which is only a 10 minute walk to the airport.   Having the luxury of a dock to work off and the labor of our new crew we gave LightSpeed a fresh coat of wax.  It wasn't all work as we hung out at the pool with friends Heather and Kent who booked a hotel at the Marina for their last two nights in Mexico. For dinner we jumped on the local bus for a 8 peso ride down to Old Town to track down the best street tacos and sampled many tasty beef and chicken tacos.
Karaoke night in Punta Mita.  Greg (s/v Kia Ora), Kathy and our newest crew member Kelsey belting out a classic 80's Bon Jovi song.
Hanging out with the crews of s/v Kia Ora and s/v Michaela aboard LightSpeed for a sundowner.
Andrew and Kelsey learning the ropes aboard LightSpeed in preparation for our upcoming journey to the South Pacific.  We practiced sailing off the anchor in La Cruz and tacked our way out to Punta Mita in a building afternoon breeze.  Both Kelsey and Andrew did an excellent job of hand steering and then we sailed into the anchorage and set the anchor with a backed mainsail.
